Part 2 – Learn to Fly Your 5" FPV Racing/Acro Drone

Now that you’ve built it — or if you already own one — it’s time to learn how to fly it like a pro. This workshop focuses on safe, skillful, and confident FPV piloting for larger racing/acrobatic drones.

What to expect

Flight safety & prep – Battery safety, pre-flight checks, and responsible flying practices.

Simulator warm-up – Practice in a drone flight simulator before taking to the air.

Hands-on flight – Learn takeoffs, landings, hovering, and controlled maneuvers without GPS assist.

Advanced skills – Intro to acrobatic moves, racing turns, and throttle control.

Course practice – Test your skills on a basic racing/freestyle course.

Format & Duration

• 3–4 hours, outdoor location (weather dependent)
• Bring your own 5" FPV drone — or use one provided for training 
• Safety gear provided (goggles, spotters, etc.) 

Cost

$60–$100 per participant

Includes instruction, simulator time and drone flight time.
