Build Your Own 5" FPV Racing/Acro Drone
Join us for this 24 hours Event
Ever wanted to build a high-performance FPV drone from the ground up? In this workshop, you’ll assemble a full-sized 5" racing/acrobatic quadcopter — the same style used in freestyle competitions and high-speed drone races. This is a true hands-on build, where you’ll leave with not just a drone, but the knowledge to maintain and repair it yourself.
What to Expect
Full assembly – Learn each component’s purpose: motors, flight controller, ESC, frame, FPV system, and transmitter.
Soldering & wiring – Gain practical skills in electronics assembly and cable management.
Tuning & setup – Install and configure firmware like Betaflight to optimize your drone’s performance.
Ownership – Take your completed drone home, ready for flight (after Part 2, if you’re new to FPV).
Format & Duration
- 4–6 hours (could be split into two shorter build sessions)
- All parts sourced before the workshop (group orders may reduce cost)
- Tools provided — or bring your own if preferred
Cost
Estimated $350–$500, depending on component choices.
Includes all parts, instruction, and setup support.
